“Celebrating 10 years of successful collaboration with Gastón y Daniela, I want in this special collection to pay tribute to
the history of textiles as well as the techniques and trends that are represented in it.
In this collection we can find prints of oriental influence, with very rich textures such as cut velvets to silks of French
heritage, a clear nod to the textile splendour of the 18th century. Also it has naturalistic floral motifs, which take us back to
Georgian or Victorian England.
Of course, there is also room for more naturalistic floral motifs, which take us back to Georgian or Victorian England. And
I haven’t forgotten the plain fabrics, in unusual colours inspired by the nature of Nor thern Europe, reminiscent of Sweden’s
Gustavian period.
Last but not least, the geometric motifs, with references to the New York Art Deco of the 1920’s and the English and
Austrian Arts & Craft of the late 19th century. In this case, the techniques used are epinglé or printing on full-bodied linen,
ideal for upholstery.” Lorenzo Castillo.
