Gastón y Daniela presents MAIORICA, the new collection inspired by the traditional and authentic Ikats of Mallorca, better known as Robes de Llengües, because of the drawings that represents the flames or tongues of fire. Ikats come from age-old technique of dyeing and weaving that can be found from Southeast Asia, Central America to Japan. Throughout the years they continued to be made in various European countries. Since the middle of the 20th century though this tradition has basically only survived in Mallorca, becoming a symbol of the island.

The wonderful tradition of the Majorcan silk fabrics and the artistic technique born in the 16th century have been a source of inspiration to create the new collection of fabrics by Gastón y Daniela.
