This collection is inspired by a blend of styles produced over the course of Spanish history. It results from the influence of several distinct cultures including the Romans, the 800 years of Muslim influence following the conquest and particularly the impact of European Culture from the 16th century. This, most of all, made the greatest im-pact on Spain and was accelerated by the arrival of the Bourbons to the throne. Out of which arose a Spanish national identity, forged by its history and influenced by its overseas territories, one which went on to develop a distinct Hispanic Style
The Raposu fabric is inspired by nineteenth-century documents, rich in textures and colours, with a touch of humour and romanticism typical of the era.
The name of the collection derives from my latest acquisition, a neogothic Rectory in a hamlet looking over the Picos de Europa, as it defines that melting pot of styles and cultures that converge in a clear Spanish style.
