The West collection draws on a rich tapestry of influences, shaped by the diverse cultures that converged during the years of the Gold Rush. Its inspiration comes not only from the textile traditions of Nor th American Indigenous communities, but also from the fabrics carried by settlers as they moved westward, and from the enduring Hispanic influences that had long taken root in the region.
From Indigenous ar tistry, the collection takes the strength of their symbolic motifs and the clarity of their graphic language. From the settlers, it reflects the striped dresses worn by women, the utilitarian
weaves and the restrained palettes of ever yday garments. From Hispanic heritage, it incorporates geometric rhythms, decorative structures and the textiles that travelled from Europe to be reinterpreted in the landscapes of the West.
West does not replicate these traditions; it reimagines them through a contemporary lens, acknowledging the cultural interplay that defined the era and transforming it into a balanced, respectful and modern textile narrative.
